Tools To Create Beautiful Images For Blogging and Social Media

Having Fresh Images, infographics or explanatory screengrabs do make difference to your Blog post. Various studies have concluded that including images in you Article or Posts increases viewer engagement across the board—more clicks, shares, retweets, replies, and favorites. In one of the experiment Posts with images had double the retweets than for those without any.

But where do you get those images from? Most Bloggers start with downloading Images from Google Image search. But it’s a wrong way – the images you are using with your articles are somebody’s property and using them without permission can land you in a legal tangle.

Click Your Own Images


One way to avoid using somebody else’s copyrighted property is to Click Images yourself. This gives a fresh feeling to your Blog or Website and your audience shall surely appreciate. Using stock photo’s isn’t an option for all Bloggers. Clicking images yourself becomes a must for most Food and Travel Boggers. As food Blogger or a Travel Blogger, you can’t escape this. Using stock images can ruin your reputation in no time. While it may seem very cumbersome, with the right equipment it can be a joy. You can start with your Smartphone Camera and move gradually to more professional equipment. The Other Way to Get Images

The best way is to create your own images. No Copyright issues and fresh look for every post. Creating your own Images is an easy task for small time Bloggers, but for professional Bloggers concentrating on Content writing its a tough task. The best way in this scenario is to use Images which have been licensed for Commercial use. Using images which are licensed under the Creative Commons attribute gives your Blog a fresh look as they are not the same Google Image search results which viewers may have seen a hundred times earlier on different blogs/sites, and also saves you from the copyright issues.

  • GIMPBlogging-Image-Tools

    Free Tool from the GNU community and a great alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Great tool for Image optimization but requires some image editing knowledge similar to Photoshop. Gimp is like a free version of Photoshop. Most all major features are there, and amateur designers can get all sorts of things done with layers, masks, photo effects, and more.

    One of the best places to scour for free images, PhotoPin lets you search millions of Creative Commons photos from Flickr. PhotoPin helps bloggers find photos for their blog and makes adding them to their post fast and easy. Just search for any topic using the search box (e.g. “Kittens”, “Flowers”, etc.), preview the photo, and click “get photo” to download the photo as well as the proper attribution link. PhotoPin uses the Flickr API and searches creative commons photos to use for your blog.

  • Meme Generator

    Share as Image helps you turn any text or webpage into a shareable image. What you just require is a Share as Image browser extension and bookmarklet. The Pro plan ($8/month) even lets you add custom branding to the image and choose from a huge number of background photos and fonts.

What We Use At BlogsNClicks

At BlogsNclicks we use Skitch for our screengrabs as it is simple and fast. We use GIMP for editing and fine tuning images. Except for product photos and logo’s, we use PhotoPin and Canva for image search.
